Is this a family tradition, is so who started it?

My great grandmother (Emilia) weirdly, people say my mom looks like my great grandmother. So she probably got her cooking abilities from her too.

How long have you been making banana lumpia?

Ever since she was a freshman.

What is the best part of making banana lumpia?

Knowing that I am making it for my family fills me with joy. Since I usually make it w/ my daughter and sometimes my husband, I enjoy it even more because we all get to bond.

Did you always like it?

Of course I did! Its also my favorite dish to cook.

When was the most memorable time you made it?

When I taught my daughter (me) how to cook it.

Personal opinions?

I heard it makes your head spin because it is crazy good! The way the peanuts and wrap crunch , the banana slowly melts and the way the creamy chocolate syrup stirs in your mouth makes you beyond contented.

Is a banana lumpia healthy?

Actually, yes, the peanuts are good for the brain and the banana has potassium.

Is it hard to make?

Extremely easy! Although, you make it with love and care (:

Usually, how long does it take to make?

Around 30 minutes.

Is it better to make it with company or alone, just so you can concentrate more?

I like making it with family because, like i said before, it's bonding time!

Do you have a special way to make it?

People keep telling me that mine is very unique because usually, people make banana lumpia with just banana's and the wrap. But I add lots of special ingredients. Like, chocolate syrup, peanuts, jack fruit , and strawberries.

Do you like experimenting with it?

Yes. That's why I came up with adding all of the special ingredients i mentioned.

When you clean up, does it take a while?

Uhm, not really. But on occasions it may take a while, but at the end it's all worth it.

Is it a main dish/dessert/snack?

It can be a snack or a dessert.

Was it difficult to learn?

Yes, just a little. Only because of all the wrapping. When i helped your (me) great grandmother before, my lumpia always turned out so messed up.

When is the most appropriate to prepare the dish?

Usually during christmas because the weather is cold and lumpia warms you up. But anytime is fine :)
